DraftKings, Sportradar CEOs and Michael Jordan Discuss Fan Engagement at SBC Summit
DraftKings CEO Jason Robins, Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl, and Michael Jordan participated in a panel discussion at the SBC Summit. The discussion focused on fan engagement and the future of sports betting.
Carsten Koerl mentioned that technology helps companies move from personalized to customized experiences by learning who the fan is and what they want to consume. He also noted that Sportradar installs cameras to track data points and provide these data points for officiating purposes.
Jason Robins explained that sports betting and fantasy products give people a reason to care about teams that aren’t necessarily their home teams or favorite players. He also acknowledged that the outcome of these verticals was difficult to predict, but that it was important for DraftKings to maintain a presence all the same. Michael Jordan noted that fans today have a much better understanding of the outcome and are willing to become much more involved with the outcome.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
