TAG (tight-aggressive) in poker
Definition
A player who plays a limited number of strong hands but plays them aggressively with bets and raises.
TAG is the classic winning style and the best starting point for new players. A TAG has a VPIP and PFR that are close together, such as 18/15.
The weakness of a pure TAG is predictability: observant opponents learn when the TAG has a strong hand.
