Calling station in poker
Definition
A passive player who calls bets with weak hands too often and rarely raises or folds.
Against a calling station you should value bet thinner and bluff less, because they call down with weak pairs and draws. Their calls are often wrong, but a raise from them usually means a very strong hand.
A calling station is a typical fish and a source of profit for stronger players.
