Tim Urban's Methods for Overcoming Procrastination
Tim Urban, a well-known blogger, writer, and science popularizer, recently visited Liv Boris and Igor Kurganov. One of his favorite topics is the battle against procrastination, and during the podcast, Tim shared the mechanics that allow him to work efficiently.
Tim Urban's book "What's Wrong With Us?" was published in 2023. Unfortunately, it has not yet been translated into Russian.
Tim Urban uses a unique system involving chess clocks to manage his work time effectively. He divides his workday into 4 hours of focused work and 4 hours of personal time. This method helps him stay productive and avoid the pitfalls of procrastination. Having a child helped him establish a routine, as he now wakes up with his daughter and puts her to bed in the evening, living a more structured life.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
