Postlegate Saga Continues: Settlements, Reactions, and New Developments

The Postlegate scandal, involving Mike Postle and the Stones casino, continues to make waves in the poker community. The settlement amount for affected poker players has been revealed to be $40,000, with each player receiving $645.16. This amount, while modest, is seen as a realistic outcome given the circumstances.

Justin Kuraitis, the tournament director at Stones, broke his silence with a four-page letter addressing the poker community. In his letter, Kuraitis accused various players and poker media of bias and misinformation. He particularly targeted Veronica Brill, who initiated the Postlegate investigation, and other prominent figures like Daniel Negreanu, who he claimed had no involvement in the scandal.

Phil Galfond, a well-known poker player and streamer, has offered to analyze Postle's hands in detail to find statistical deviations. Galfond plans to look at various metrics, including the percentage of successful bluffs on the river, the frequency of large bets against the top of the range, and how often Postle tried to knock out opponents during the deal. Galfond is seeking volunteers to help with the analysis.
