Darya Krashennikova: Poker is in My DNA
Darya Krashennikova, a renowned poker player, recently discussed her journey through a significant downswing and how she managed to overcome it. Krashennikova won three tournaments in four days, which helped her believe that her downswing was over.
Krashennikova mentioned that her previous significant downswing was in 2023, which was due to her poor play rather than bad luck. She noted that after a long trip to Vegas, she struggled to adjust back to online play, leading to a difficult transition. She shared that she joined the Enigma MTT fund, where she sends her hands for review every month.
She mentioned that she was so embarrassed by her poor performance that she asked her coach, Anton aJarov, not to review her hands. Krashennikova noted that she lost $15,000 on ABI $50 during her downswing. Despite the challenges, she reflected on her achievements, noting that she won $150,000 online and another $150,000 offline over three years.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
