Poker Player Finds Inspiration in Andy Murray's Journey to Regain Love for the Game
A poker player recently found inspiration in the journey of tennis player Andy Murray to regain his love for the game. The author realized he needed a psychologist after observing other players at the EPT in Barcelona. He found that he was forcing himself to play poker even when he was not enjoying it.
Andy Murray's biography inspired the author to reflect on his own approach to poker. Ivan Lendl advised Andy Murray to take breaks from tennis and enjoy life outside of the court. This advice resonated with the author, who began to see parallels between his own struggles and Murray's psychological battles.
Andy Murray's psychological struggles and eventual success inspired the author to reassess his own mental approach to poker. The author found inspiration in old videos of Ben Sulsky, noting his adaptability and creativity. By learning from Murray's and Sulsky's experiences, the author was able to regain his passion for poker and approach the game with renewed enthusiasm.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
