PokerMatch Announces Unique Poker-Chess Tournament 'Game of Kings'

PokerMatch is set to host an unprecedented poker-chess tournament in Ukraine, titled 'Game of Kings,' with a prize fund of 250,000 hryvnias. This innovative event aims to bring together two popular intellectual sports—poker and chess. The tournament will be held in two stages: the first on the Chess.com website and the second on PokerMatch.

The presentation of the tournament will take place on Twitch on December 6 at 19:00. Notable figures scheduled to attend include Natalia Zhukova, a renowned international grandmaster and two-time European champion, Igor Terebinov, the marketing director of PokerMatch, and Alexander Matlak, the superadmin of the Ukrainian internet chess team.

This unique tournament is expected to attract a wide range of participants, showcasing the skills and strategies of both poker and chess players. The event will also feature a briefing session where organizers will explain the rules and answer questions from participants.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
