Flutter and Grupo Globo Launch Daily Fantasy Sports in Brazil
Flutter Entertainment and Grupo Globo have announced a groundbreaking partnership to launch a daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform in Brazil. FanDuel, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment, and Grupo Globo have entered into a multi-year agreement to provide DFS services to Grupo Globo’s popular Cartola FC brand.
FanDuel will power an extension of Cartola FC’s current product suite, including the launch of a paid daily fantasy sports platform called Cartola Express. This new platform will complement the existing Cartola FC and Cartola PRO products, offering Brazilian customers a new and enhanced fantasy sports experience.
Grupo Globo, the largest media conglomerate in Brazil, reaches an impressive 99.6% of the Brazilian population with its extensive news, sports, and entertainment programs. The media giant’s linear channels engage directly with over 100 million people in Brazil daily. Cartola FC, launched in 2005, has already garnered significant popularity with over 17 million app downloads, 10 million active fantasy teams, and 435,000 Cartola PRO customer subscriptions. The brand is deeply integrated into Grupo Globo’s broadcast and digital sports media ecosystem, including daily Serie A programming, weekly expert commentary shows such as ‘The LineUp’, Globo’s online sports outlet GE, and social media and digital influencer networks.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
