Dietrich Fast's Path to Poker Success: Passion, Time, and the Right Circle
Dietrich Fast, one of the most successful German high-rollers of the new wave, has shared his path to poker success. Born in 1985 in Russia to a German family, Fast moved to Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He started playing poker in 2005 and his first major offline success came in 2015 when he won a €550 tournament at the European Poker Tour.
Fast's poker career took off after he joined a Skype conference with stronger players and found a mentor. He became a trainer at bitB poker school after his contract with Doug Polk ended. He combines poker with his work as a trainer at the bitB poker school, focusing on river play and 3-bets from the BB.
Fast won the main tournament at WPT LAPC in February 2016. He shares that the key factors for success in poker are passion, time, and the right circle. He believes that with these three elements, anyone can improve their poker skills and achieve success.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
