Congressman Calls for Probe Into Little League World Series Betting
Rep. Kevin Kiley (I-CA) has asked U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to investigate offshore sportsbooks that allowed wagers on the Little League World Series. BetOnline not only allows wagering on the Little League World Series, but promotes it. BetOnline Brand Manager Dave Mason said wagering on the Little League World Series was twice as much in 2025 as it was in 2024.
Little League International issued a statement affirming their opposition to wagering on games involving children. The organization stated that Little League is a trusted place where children are learning the fundamentals of the games and all the important life lessons that come with having fun, celebrating teamwork, and playing with integrity, and no one should be exploiting the success and failures of children playing the game they love for their own personal gain.
Michigan sent cease-and-desist letters to 45 operators in April. This followed a similar effort in 2025 ordering 13 other offshore gaming sites to stop operating in the state.
