Caesars Entertainment to Acquire William Hill in $3.72 Billion Deal
Caesars Entertainment has offered £2.9 billion ($3.72 billion) to acquire William Hill, with the deal recommended by William Hill's board. Caesars Entertainment is the world’s largest casino and entertainment company, owners of the eponymous Caesars Palace as well as the WSOP and WSOP.com brands.
William Hill’s US operation has 117 ‘bricks and mortar’ outlets across 13 states. However, in the UK it could see their roughly 1400 betting shops sold off. Last month William Hill revealed that 119 of its high street shops would not be reopening due to expected reduced demand following the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen the majority of bettors move online.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
