Poker Player ZKesic Aims to Earn $100,000 Playing NL20

In December 2018, ZKesic started a thread on the 2+2 forum with the ambitious goal of earning $100,000 by playing NL20 poker. He introduced himself as a 25-year-old student from Slovenia who considers poker a hobby. ZKesic plays approximately 1,200-1,400 hands per hour and earned around $20-25 per hour in 2018.

ZKesic mentioned that his rakeback was reduced from 45-50% to 10% in early 2019, which significantly impacted his earnings. Despite this setback, he continues to document his progress and shares his experiences with the community. He has played in 24 different poker rooms throughout his career and has been documenting his poker results since the first day he started playing.

In addition to his poker journey, ZKesic has been facing challenges in finding employment. He mentioned that he has been looking for work for 5 months and has been rejected by six companies. Despite these difficulties, he remains optimistic and continues to pursue his goal of earning $100,000 through poker.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
