You-Mad-Br0 Reflects on a Year of Challenges and Personal Growth

Professional poker player You-Mad-Br0 has shared his 2024 year in review, highlighting both personal and professional challenges. You-Mad-Br0 earned around $183k in 2024, but played poker for only 285 hours, a significant drop from previous years.

You-Mad-Br0 struggled with motivation and mental health issues throughout the year. He decided to play poker only when he genuinely enjoys it, rather than feeling obligated to do so. He reflected on the meaning of his actions and the purpose of his poker career, noting that he often felt a sense of imposter syndrome when teaching his students.

Despite these challenges, You-Mad-Br0 had many personal accomplishments. He learned new skills such as surfing, standing on his head, and improving his flexibility. He organized a surprise party for his mother's 60th birthday and climbed his first four-thousand-meter peak in Europe. He also began dating a new girlfriend. You-Mad-Br0 read Stefan's blog and identified with the struggles of maintaining motivation after achieving financial freedom.
