World Series of Poker Europe Moves to Cannes in 2011

The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) will be held in Cannes, France, starting from 2011. The new European partner for WSOP is the Lucien Barrière group, which manages 39 casinos, 17 luxury hotels, over 135 restaurants and bars, and more than 2,740 shows annually.

The WSOPE in Cannes will be part of the Barrière Poker Tour 2011, which will start in April and make seven stops before reaching Cannes on October 7. The tour will visit casinos in Toulouse, Nice, Lille, Dinard, Enghien, Trouville, and Bordeaux.

In 2011, the WSOP Europe will award 7 bracelets. The Casino Barrière de Cannes features 75 tables, and the Hôtel Majestic Barrière promises an unforgettable service. Players are expected to be satisfied with the new arrangements.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
