European Poker Tour (EPT) Explained
The European Poker Tour (EPT) is a premier live tournament series across European cities. For EU/UK players it is often more reachable than a Las Vegas WSOP trip — see also WSOP explained.
What you get
- High-profile Main Events and side events
- Strong media coverage and player fields
- Satellite paths from online rooms in some seasons
Practical advice
Budget the full trip (buy-in + hotel + food + downswing). Side events can fit recreational bankrolls better than the Main. Track dates on our calendar before booking flights.
Skill prep
Live pace is slower than online; exploit recreational tendencies. Online prep: MTT basics and room volume via the 2026 hub.
