Mike Matusow and Other Big Names Busted from WSOP Main Event

Day 4 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event saw several notable players eliminated from the tournament. Mike Matusow, known as "The Mouth," was among those who crashed out of the chase for the $8 million prize and a place in poker history.

Ramon Colillas now leads the remaining 292 players with 5,000,000 chips. The Spaniard is no stranger to big wins, having turned a Platinum Pass entry into a $5.1 million payday at the 2019 Pokerstars Players Championship.

Jessica Cai, who was hoping to replicate her husband's final table run in 2019, was eliminated after losing to Casey Coughlan. Other big names who fell by the wayside include Mustafa Kanit, Kathy Liebert, Mark Newhouse, Robert Mizrachi, and Christoph Vogelsang. Chris Moneymaker, the legendary 2003 champ, is still in the tournament with 600,000 chips. Stephen Chidwick is near the top of the leaderboard with the 4th-biggest stack.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
