WSOP Main Event Down to 36 Players: Chidwick Out, Kornuth Survives

The WSOP Main Event has reached a crucial point with only 36 players remaining after an intense Day 6. The day saw several high-profile eliminations and survivors.

Stephen Chidwick, one of the notable players, was eliminated in 89th place, earning $68,900. Fatima Nanji, the second remaining woman in the field, was eliminated one position before Chidwick, also earning $68,900. Dragana Lim, the last remaining woman, was eliminated in 64th place, earning $95,700. Lim plans to use her winnings to build her own Animal Foundation, as she mentioned to PokerNews.

Chance Kornuth, Koray Aldemir, and Chase Bianchi are among the survivors who will continue to the next day. Hye Park leads with almost 30 million chips, followed by Demosthenes Kiriopoulos and Joshua Remitio. Ramon Colillas and Alejandro Lococo, known as "Papo MC" in his native Argentina, are also in the top ten chip counts.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
