WSOP 2025 Fantasy Draft: $5,000 Prize Pool and New Format Announced
The WSOP 2025 Fantasy Draft, supported by FunFarm, will have a prize pool of $5,000. The rules of the fantasy draft will match those of Daniel Negreanu's draft, and participants will receive a selection of players from which to form a team of 8 poker players with a total budget of 200 points.
Every 25 tournaments, participants can select their own 'Player of the Quarter' who will score points in a separate tally. The top teams with the most points will share $4,000 in prizes. The first qualifying tournament is Event No. 5 in Pot-Limit Omaha. The main prizes include $1,500 for the first place, $800 for the second, and $500 for the third.
The fantasy draft is open to anyone with an account on the GipsyTeam website. Participants must form their teams by 00:01 on May 30, 2025.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
