Triton Million: The Biggest Charity Poker Tournament Ever

The Triton Million Tournament was the biggest charity poker tournament ever held. Hosted by Triton Poker, 54 players competed for the title at the Park Lane Hilton in London. The buy-in was £1,050,000, with £50,000 from each buy-in going to charity, raising a total of £2,700,000 for 15 different causes.

The tournament featured a mix of poker professionals and businessmen. Notable poker players included Jason Koon, Justin Bonomo, Tom Dwan, and Tony G. Among the businessmen were Rob Yong, Bobby Baldwin, and Paul Phua.

The tournament spanned two days. On the first day, poker pros competed against each other, and businessmen played against businessmen. All survivors from Day 1 merged into Day 2, where they played until a winner was declared. Unique rules included a ban on coverings above the neck and a requirement for suits at the final table. Aaron Zang emerged victorious, defeating Bryn Kenney in the Heads-Up battle. Despite Kenney having four times more chips, they made a deal where Kenney took £16,890,509, and Zang scooped £13,779,491. Zang's victory was secured with two crucial hands.
