Tom Dwan's Halloween Plans and Other Poker News from Late October 2009

Poker enthusiasts had a lot to talk about from October 26-28, 2009, with notable events and statements from prominent players.

Tom Dwan, known for his unpredictable moves, hinted at a possible Halloween costume. In a Twitter post, he wrote, "Может, мне одеться Хельмутом на Хеллоуин?" which translates to "Maybe I should dress up as Helmut for Halloween?" This tweet left fans speculating whether he would don the Ultimate Bet uniform for the spooky season.

Jack McLellan, the tournament director at Bellagio, provided some clarity on poker etiquette in the latest episode of "Ask Jack." When asked what happens if both players discard their cards simultaneously on the river, McLellan advised that the pot should be split. He also addressed a scenario where the dealer drops the deck before the flop, suggesting that the cards should be collected quickly, the top card cut, and the remaining cards shuffled before continuing the deal.
