Super Bowl LVI Betting Smashes Records, What's Next for LVII?
Super Bowl LVI has set a new record for betting in Nevada. Sportsbooks in Las Vegas made a record-breaking $179.8 million in bets on the Bengals-Rams game. This figure surpasses the previous year's total of $136.1 million, marking a significant increase in betting activity. With an 8.6 percent stake in Sunday's game, sportsbooks were able to keep $15.4 million in their bankrolls.
Despite the impressive betting handle, sportsbooks saw a net profit of $7.8 million, down from $11.3 million last year, a 31% drop. This indicates that gamblers in the country lost less money this year than they did the previous year.
Over 80.1 million Super Bowl betting transactions took place over the weekend, a 2.26x increase from last year. Approximately 5.6 million unique accounts accessed legal online sportsbooks this weekend, a 95% increase from last year. BetMGM's sports betting app saw a record number of unique users on Sunday, with New York being the state with the most digital bets placed by BetMGM's active US states.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
