Stake Poker Launches in Mexico, Expanding into Latin America
Stake Poker has launched in Mexico, marking its entry into the Latin American market. This move makes Mexico the first locally licensed market for the poker site, which is operated under a license obtained in partnership with Capali la Paz Operaciones. The platform offers a wide range of game types, including No Limit Hold’em, 4, 5, and 6-Card Pot Limit Omaha, and various poker formats like cash games, tournaments, and fast-fold poker. Stake Poker’s platform includes special features such as straddles at cash game tables, a 4-color deck, run it twice (and up to four times), and rabbit hunting.
Stake Poker is developed entirely in-house by the staff at Stake’s parent company, Easygo. The platform is not to be mistaken for Stake.us, the sweepstakes poker platform that operates in about 30 states across the US.
This launch is part of Stake’s aggressive expansion strategy, which has seen the operator enter multiple markets in recent years. The company has also launched licensed platforms in Colombia, Peru, and Brazil, and continues to serve regulated markets in Europe.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
