Smithstudent and aJarov Reveal SCOOP 2020 Strategies and Experiences

Russian poker players Smithstudent and aJarov recently shared their experiences and strategies from the SCOOP 2020 poker series. Smithstudent prepared for the event by grinding in April, spending quality time with his family, running 5 km daily, and analyzing poker with friends. He also took a three-day break before the tournament to approach it hungry.

aJarov, on the other hand, had a remarkable run in SCOOP 2020, winning his biggest online cash after starting the final day short-stacked. He mentioned that he only bluffed once during the final day and would only consider a deal in the top 3 or top 5 if short-stacked or with good regulars.

Both players shared their thoughts on high-stakes tournaments and the importance of player composition. aJarov prefers to play tournaments with a 10-15% ROI rather than focusing on high prize pools and avoids playing high-stakes tournaments due to the composition of players. Smithstudent also mentioned that he would only play the most interesting tournaments and follow a strict plan.
