Sean Perry Wins Venetian $25k High Roller for $365,500
Sean Perry, a 23-year-old poker pro, won the Venetian $25k High Roller tournament with a prize of $365,500. The tournament had a prizepool of just over $1 million with seven players guaranteed a payday. Sean Perry outlasted a field of 43 players, including notable names like Daniel Negreanu, Ali Imsirovic, and Cary Katz.
Sean Perry faced Bill Klein heads-up, and flopped trips saw the 23-year-old bag the win. This victory boosted Sean Perry's year’s cash tally to more than $1.6 million.
Despite his recent win, Sean Perry has been embroiled in controversy. Dan Colman claimed that Sean Perry had most likely scammed him of a seven-figure sum while betting on daily fantasy sports. Sean Perry and Sam Soverel were involved in a head-to-head DFS match, with Soverel bringing in Dan Colman because Perry apparently “wanted more action”. Aaron “AEJones” and Ryan Daut agreed that it was likely that three random accounts of the six being wagered on were all controlled by Sean Perry. Sean Perry subsequently withdrew from a proposed and agreed on arbitration.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
