Sam Triquet's Strong Run at WPT Shooting Stars
Sam Triquet, a seasoned poker professional, was one of the strongest participants in the final table of the WPT Shooting Stars tournament. The second day of the WPT Shooting Stars on PartyPoker saw several key eliminations and intense gameplay.
Nikita Bodiakovsky was one of the first to be eliminated on the second day. He lost his stack to Sam Triquet with A-J offsuit against Triquet's pocket queens, leaving Bodiakovsky with only a few blinds. He finished in 29th place, earning $3,400.
Darya Krashennikova was eliminated on the three-table stage. She lost to Pedro Garanani, who had a better kicker with the same trip nines. On the river, Garanani completed a straight, eliminating Krashennikova from the game.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
