Russell Crowe's Poker Face Filming Halted Due to COVID-19
Russell Crowe is starring in and producing the film Poker Face. The filming of Poker Face was halted due to a confirmed COVID-19 case in the crew. The film was being shot in Australia, where a new wave of the delta variant is causing issues.
Crowe announced the halt via Twitter, stating that there was a confirmed positive COVID-19 case among the crew and a possible second case under investigation. The production has been stopped indefinitely.
Crowe initially chose Australia for the filming location to be closer to his home country, New Zealand. Some members of the poker community have criticized Crowe for this decision, suggesting that the filming issues might not have occurred if the location had been different.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
