Razvan Belea Wins 2023 EPT Paris Main Event for €1.17M
Razvan Belea made history by winning the 2023 EPT Paris Main Event, securing a prize of €1,170,000. The event, which had 1,606 entries, was the sixth largest Main Event in EPT history. Belea's victory came after a heads-up battle against Peter Jorgne, where he maintained a significant chip lead throughout.
The total prize pool for the event was €7,708,800, with Belea taking the lion's share. Belea had around $112K in live tournament cashes before this win, but his online earnings on PokerStars alone amounted to $1.25 million, making him a strong contender from the start.
Speaking after his victory, Belea expressed his disbelief and joy, stating that winning the EPT Main Event was a dream come true. He credited his success to his dedication and hard work, having studied extensively behind the computer. The win marks the first EPT Main Event title for Romania.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
