PokerStars VIP Changes Spark Outrage Among Top Players
PokerStars' recent changes to their VIP system have sparked outrage among top players, who express frustration and concern over the new policies. Yuri "Crimson_King" Arustamyan was particularly vocal about his dissatisfaction, stating that PokerStars' handling of the Super Nova Elite (SNE) program felt like a betrayal. He felt unappreciated and that the company no longer valued their loyal players.
Sergei "vedevas" Lebedev, while not surprised by the changes, disagreed with them and hoped that competition would address the issues. He noted that PokerStars has the right to set its own rules, but the changes have left many players feeling disillusioned.
Egor "BigGOGI" Zarev criticized PokerStars for attempting to turn poker into a casino-style game with a negative expected value. He expressed frustration that the company is focusing more on profit than on the skill and strategy that define the game. Ilya "ilushan" Gorodetsky was disappointed with how the changes were communicated, feeling that PokerStars no longer prioritizes its clients' interests. He noted that the company's corporate culture has shifted significantly since the change in ownership.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
