PokerStars Postpones PSPC and EPT Barcelona to 2022 Due to COVID-19

PokerStars has officially postponed the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC) to 2022 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The event was scheduled to take place in August 2020 at Casino Barcelona, Spain. PokerStars has confirmed that the event will still be held at the same location but in 2022.

The EPT Barcelona 2020 series, also scheduled for August 2020, has been postponed to 2022. PokerStars has announced that more Platinum Passes will be given out for the 2022 event. Originally, 320 Platinum Passes were planned to be given out, but now 400 will be available.

175 Platinum Passes, each worth around $30,000, have already been awarded through various PokerStars promotions. These passes will be valid for the next year.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
