Poker Pros Share Tips on Managing Multiple Tables Simultaneously

Professional poker players often face the challenge of managing multiple tables simultaneously. Ilya Dzont, a seasoned player, shares his approach: "I play between six to nine tables depending on my energy levels. When I feel tired, I reduce the number of tables."

uebik798, another experienced player, mentions that he plays four tables when allowed by PokerStars, but sometimes reduces to two due to poor game quality. He also notes that he uses additional screens to watch Twitch, YouTube, or forums to keep himself occupied and avoid overthinking.

Dmitry timenow finds that playing six tables is optimal. He also shares that his win rates increased when he was limited to four tables, which also motivated him to improve his game and move up in limits. Slav Fenomenico, known for his versatility, plays between 12 to 18 tables when playing MTTs and different disciplines. However, he now plays PLO-cash with a room limit of four tables.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
