Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan Head to Sochi for partypoker MILLIONS Russia
Poker enthusiasts are in for a treat as legendary players Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan have confirmed their participation in the partypoker MILLIONS Russia tournament, scheduled from August 3 to 14 in Sochi. This high-stakes event will feature two super-high roller tournaments with buy-ins of 3,000,000 and 6,000,000 rubles.
In addition to Ivey and Dwan, notable high-stakes players Paul Phua and Richard Yong will also be participating. The tournament offers multiple ways for players to qualify for the main event. Satellite events with buy-ins of 3,300 and 11,000 rubles will be held daily, providing opportunities for players to secure their spots. These satellite events include options for rebuys and add-ons without rake, making it more accessible for participants to join.
One of the exciting actions during the tournament is the 'Last Hero' promotion. The first 100 players who pay their entry fee with PP LIVE $$$ and advance the farthest in the tournament will win $100,000. Additionally, participants in the satellite events have a chance to win tickets to the final stage of the qualifying tournament for the Caribbean Poker Party, where they could secure a $12,000 package to the event.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
