Phil Galfond Talks About Tom Dwan and His Poker Business Run It Once
Phil Galfond recently discussed his relationship with Tom Dwan and his poker business, Run It Once. When asked about Tom Dwan, Galfond mentioned that he last communicated with him three days ago via text messages. However, he stated that he does not know where Tom Dwan is or what he is doing.
Galfond also shared his thoughts on the high-stakes poker scene. He believes that high-stakes poker is now mostly played at home. He mentioned that he does not expect invitations to closed games because many are willing to pay him for poker lessons, indicating his skill as a player. He also noted that good players are not typically invited to closed games.
Galfond's wife, Fara, is currently more focused on poker than acting. She has been playing poker enthusiastically and even participated in a $1,500 triple draw tournament. Galfond and Fara met through Twitter, where they started communicating and eventually fell in love.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
