Patrick Leonard Bets on Belgium and Wins Big in Euro 2020
Patrick Leonard, a well-known British poker player and ambassador for PartyPoker, made a significant bet during the Euro 2020 tournament. He bet $2,500 on Belgium's victory against Russia, a decision that ultimately paid off handsomely.
Despite his usual preference to bet against the Belgian team, Leonard saw an opportunity with the odds at 2.00 in favor of Belgium. He decided to take the risk and place his bet, which turned out to be a profitable move. Belgium won the match with a score of 0-3, resulting in a $2,500 profit for Leonard.
Leonard shared his betting experience on his Twitter page, including a screenshot of his bet. This isn't the first time Leonard has made notable bets; he previously lost a leaderboard position in the SCOOP event due to a betting decision.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
