partypoker Introduces Tournament Dollars for Satellites

partypoker has introduced a new universal currency for satellites called tournament dollars, which can be used for both online and offline series.

The weekly guarantee for satellites has increased from $158,000 to $1,000,000. Tournament dollars can be used to pay for buy-ins in both offline and online tournaments, and they are stored on the player's partypoker account. Existing PPL dollars can still be used for partypoker LIVE series and have a validity of 24 months.

PPL dollars can be used for the MILLIONS Online tournament with a guarantee of $20,000,000 and a buy-in of $10,300. PPL dollars can also be used for the partypoker MILLION tournament with a buy-in of $215 and a guarantee of $1,000,000. Dmitry Urbanovich expressed concern that the new system might reduce player contributions to live tournaments. Alexander Merzhvinsky praised the new system but noted that the rake increased to 10%. Garik Tamasyan highlighted the flexibility of the new system, allowing players to use tournament dollars for online tournaments.
