Otávio Augusto Makes History with Third Place Finish in Main Event High
Otávio Augusto, a member of the Brasil Poker Team, made history by finishing third in the main event high, winning R$ 55,556. This achievement came after he satelited the main event high and competed against over 2,000 players.
Otávio's journey into poker began when he watched a friend play a sit&go tournament. Inspired by the experience, he started learning and playing poker shortly after. He sees poker as his business and career, aiming to build a successful career in the sport.
When asked about his preferences, Otávio stated that he enjoys live poker more but recognizes the importance of online poker for achieving good results. His future plans include dedicating himself to his poker career, creating new businesses, and improving his quality of life.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
