Poker Player mr_w0rm Analyzes Hand, Explains Push Decision Based on Sizing Tells
Poker player mr_w0rm analyzed his hand against a regular player and explained his push decision based on sizing tells. The opponent had around 700 hands, with a 22/18/11 stat. mr_w0rm decided to bet on the flop to maintain initiative and get a free river. After the check-raise, mr_w0rm believed the opponent's range included connectors with backdoor, 65s, pocket pairs, sets, and lost A5.
mr_w0rm considered that he had about 10 outs, so the call made sense based on the odds. On the turn, mr_w0rm thought the opponent's bet was more like a merge, not a value or bluff bet. mr_w0rm pushed all-in on the river, believing the opponent would fold equity with middle pocket pairs.
Vasily Bumbak emphasized the importance of tracking opponent's ranges from preflop to river. He suggested that mr_w0rm should have considered a wider range for the opponent, including AKo and QQ. Bumbak advised that the flop texture favored the 3-better due to overpairs and strong draws.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
