Macau's Casino Revenue Drops 70% in November
Macau, the world's largest casino market, saw a 70.5% year-on-year decrease in gaming revenue in November 2020. The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau published the data, revealing that casinos won $845.34 million from gamblers, the highest figure since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The $845.34 million figure was lower than the $910 million won in October, but the percentage decrease was slightly better in November. Macau's casino revenue in June 2020 was the lowest of the year at $89.7 million. The Chinese government imposed strict travel restrictions to Macau earlier in 2020. In November 2020, Macau's hotel occupancy rate reached 45% and the average daily number of tourists exceeded 20,600.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
