Los Angeles Casinos Move Outdoors Due to COVID-19 Restrictions
In early October, Governor Gavin Newsom ordered all local gambling establishments in California to close again due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, several casinos in Los Angeles found a way to reopen by moving their operations outdoors. Hollywood Park Casino, Bicycle Casino, Gardens Casino, Lucky Lady Casino, and Commerce Casino have all resumed operations under the open sky. To comply with health and safety regulations, players must wear masks and are separated by transparent partitions. Eating and drinking at the tables is prohibited.
Some casinos, like Bicycle Casino and Lucky Lady Casino, have set up tables under tents and umbrellas. Temperature is checked upon entry to any of the mentioned establishments. Only cash games are available; poker tournaments are not possible under current conditions.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
