Las Vegas Casinos See Record Revenue for Eighth Straight Month
Las Vegas casinos have reported over $1 billion in revenue for the eighth consecutive month, with October's figures tying a previous record set in 2006-2007. This surge in revenue has been driven by the famous Las Vegas Strip, which generated $702.2 million out of a total of $1.22 billion. Tourism is still down but it appears that domestic travel includes a greater number than expected of frustrated gamblers and holidaymakers after a year of lockdowns.
3.39 million tourists visited Las Vegas during October, only 7.6% down from the same month in 2019. Nevada sportsbooks also brought in more than $1bn to casino coffers during the month, marking yet another new record. September’s $786.5 million was also a new record, indicating that following the 2018 federal reversal on the sports betting ban, the industry is ready to propel to new heights as the pandemic ends.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
