From Reality TV to Poker Pro: Jon Pardy's Remarkable Journey

Jon Pardy, known for winning Big Brother Canada Season 2, has had a remarkable journey from a troubled past to becoming a sponsored poker pro with Americas Cardroom (ACR). His story is one of resilience and transformation, marked by both highs and lows.

Pardy's poker career began about 2.5 years ago in Bill Perkins' Thirst Lounge. He was selected for a project that provided him with resources and access to people he wouldn't have had otherwise. This opportunity allowed him to make significant strides in his poker journey. One of the pivotal moments was making it to day 3 of the VENOM tournament while on the project. This achievement caught the attention of Phil Nagy, who called Pardy live on stream to invite him to THE CAGE. At the time, Pardy had only $1000 to his name, making this opportunity even more thrilling.

Pardy's experience at THE CAGE was transformative. He fell in love with ACR, impressed by the passion for the game and the fun poker experience created for all. This experience led to a good relationship with ACR, and Pardy continued to be amazed by their vision and work ethic. Joining ACR was a super easy choice for him. His biggest achievement so far has been signing with ACR, a dream come true. However, his biggest failure was his health and fitness in 2020. Despite this, his biggest goal is to play on the biggest viewed stages in the world someday, not just for his poker skill, but because of his personality.
