iPoker Updates Cash Games to Boost Recreational Play
iPoker network introduced updates to cash games at the end of July to make them more favorable for recreational players. The updates were announced by the network's director, Йорг Ноттебаум.
The global sitout feature forces players to sit out of all tables if they sit out of one. This is designed to prevent players from waiting for advantageous situations or weaker opponents, a practice similar to bumhunting.
The anonymous lobby feature hides player names in the cash game lobby, making it impossible to track players or use sitting scripts. Additionally, player names are hidden until the big blind is paid in cash games, adding another layer of anonymity and making it difficult for scripts to target specific players.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
