International Stadiums Poker Tour Faces Uncertainty Over Prize Pool
The International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT), planned for May 2013 in London, is facing uncertainty over its guaranteed prize pool. The initial guarantee was set at $30 million, but this was later reduced to €20 million, and eventually, the word 'guarantee' was removed from the official website.
A press conference scheduled for September 3rd to address these concerns was canceled without comment from the organizers. Steve McKinnon, an organizer, mentioned that the press conference was supposed to clarify all controversial questions and that it was necessary to do this before attracting serious players.
Despite the uncertainty, ISPT has obtained a license to hold a live tournament at Wembley and has signed sponsorship deals with APAT and several professional players. Professional players Sam Trickett, Liz Lee, and David Benjamin have joined ISPT as ambassadors.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
