Interblock Appoints Kay Oswald as New CEO

Interblock, a global leader in electronic table gaming products, has appointed Kay Oswald as its new Chief Executive Officer. The company initiated a search for a new CEO in February 2024, and the Board of Directors confirmed Oswald's appointment on Tuesday.

Oswald brings over 25 years of international leadership experience across various sectors, including hardware, consumer, and industrial technology. His most recent role before joining Interblock was as CEO at KOHPA Technologies. Oswald has also served as CEO and Board Member at Technology USA Corp.

Bala Ganesan, the Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management, held the interim CEO role at Interblock. Ganesan will return to his full-time role at Oaktree but will continue to collaborate with Interblock to ensure a smooth transition of leadership responsibilities. David Quick, Oaktree Managing Director and Interblock Board member, welcomed Oswald to the company and praised his track record and experience in leading companies in major markets across the globe.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
