Gipsy's Poker Tales: From Millions to Bankroll Blunders
The Kolodec thread by Gipsy was opened in June 2007. On its pages, Gipsy shared numerous poker stories, including one where he won and lost millions of dollars in a single session.
In one of his discussions, Gipsy talked about the weight of 3 million dollars in cash, which is 25 kg 200 g. He also mentioned that people usually take a check to the bank instead of carrying such large sums of cash.
Bryan Townsend, a fellow poker player, shared his frustration about losing over $100,000 in a single session. He was particularly upset about a specific hand where he lost a pot of $166,000. Gipsy commented on this, revealing that Kolya Losev, another player, had started the evening with just $5,000 and ended up with $265,000 after that hand.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
