GGPoker Classifies Poker Pros into Good, Average, and Bad
GGPoker representatives published an article describing their vision of poker professionals in the ecosystem. The poker network, which includes Pokerok and GGPoker, outlined how they see the role of professionals in the world of poker.
Good Pro
GGPoker considers a good pro as someone who contributes to the growth of the poker market. Successful poker players naturally attract media attention and achieve wealth. GGPoker hopes these players will ultimately work on attracting more people to the game, similar to how Michael Jordan did in basketball.
Average Pro
An average pro focuses mainly on their gameplay and win rate. Such players constantly study their own game, improve their skills, and 'tear up the field'.
Bad Pro
A bad pro focuses on creating an unfair advantage over opponents and exploiting perceived weaknesses of other players. During the game, they may use solvers in real-time, advanced charts, data mining, bum hunting, collude, or play under other accounts. Bad professionals intimidate and harass opponents, ultimately scaring off honest players from the game.
GGPoker implements features like Snapcam to motivate players to return to the game. GGPoker defines actions of bad professionals as fraudulent and strictly punishes them within their rights.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
