Garu Releases New Study on River Betting in Poker
Poker professional Garu has released a new study on river betting in poker. The study focuses on two specific scenarios: BB vs. BTN when the recreational player opens or limps from the button, and BTN vs. BB when the recreational player bets the river. Garu analyzes betting patterns, most common bet sizes, and typical deviations in these contexts, showing how frequencies change based on previous actions.
The study is part of a series of videos produced in collaboration with Hand2Note. This series has previously covered river betting in 3-handed and heads-up scenarios.
Garu's analysis provides insights into how to adjust call and fold ranges based on the recreational player's betting patterns. The study is available on Doctorado. TEORÍA Estudios H2N.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
