Gamification in Online Casinos: What It Can't Do Alone
Viktor Cherkas, CEO of Kanggiten, believes that gamification mechanics like missions, tournaments, and wheels support retention best when connected to CRM, loyalty, and analytics. Cherkas states that gamification alone does not significantly increase player LTV over the long term. The Kanggiten gamification platform is designed to integrate with the wider system, allowing a tournament result to trigger a reward, a bonus, or a follow-up campaign.
Cherkas advises that operators should measure whether players return, explore more content, and stay active after a campaign ends to determine the long-term value of gamification mechanics. He warns against launching a mechanic without a defined audience, expected behavioral change, and measurement plan, especially if the cost, complexity, or responsible-gaming risks outweigh the likely benefit.
Cherkas and the Kanggiten team will be at SiGMA World in Rome this November, Fiera Roma, Hall 4, Stand 4060. For any operator shaping a 2027 gamification roadmap, it is a good place to start with the harder question. What problem is this mechanic solving?

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
