Entain Buys SuperSport for €800M, Eyes German Market
Entain has completed its acquisition of Croatian gaming operator SuperSport for an estimated €800 million. This move is part of Entain's strategy to expand into new regions and collect new brands, both big and small. Entain has partnered with EMMA Capital to create Entain CEE, a strategic platform dedicated to expanding in the Central and Eastern European region. Jette Nygaard-Andersen, Entain's CEO, commented on the acquisition, stating that SuperSport expands their operations into the highly attractive and regulated Croatian market, as well as establishing Entain CEE as a strategic growth platform into the wider region. Entain is expecting to complete the acquisition of BetCity before the end of the year. Additionally, Entain has become the first operator to acquire the relevant licenses to legally operate in the regulated German market, paving the way for brands like Ladbrokes and BWin to enter the market.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
