Durrrr Challenge: Jungleman Calls Out Tom Dwan on Twitter
The ongoing saga of the Durrrr Challenge between Tom Dwan and Daniel Cates, known as Jungleman, has resurfaced with a recent Twitter exchange. Daniel Cates called out Tom Dwan on Twitter regarding the unfinished Durrrr Challenge.
Tom Dwan was down $1.2 million after 20,000 hands in the 50,000-hand heads-up match with Daniel Cates. Doug Polk described the Durrrr Challenge as one of the most massive scams in poker history. Daniel Cates revealed that Tom Dwan has been paying him penalties every two months lately.
A post on the 2+2 forum in August 2018 included a screenshot of an online chat where Cates told Ilari ‘Ilari Fin’ Sahamies that Dwan would forfeit the match by the end of that month.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
